***Malaria infected mosquitos everywhere need to watch their backs. The most ferocious TWENTY ONE CHILDREN of Soweto are geared to exterminate all filth but their own, as they again join forces with Slovenly Recordings for an exercise in max irritability, and a structured plan with which to execute it. Immediately following the shockwaves of their explosive debut 7inch, the ‘Children return with a mini album’s worth of heavy distortion and a shit ton of bad attitude.Twenty One Children are the riotous punk pulse of Johannesburg — a fearless trio tearing up South Africa’s alt-music rulebook. Formed by friends Thula and Abdula with drummer Biko, they fuse U.S. skate punk grit with Soweto’s heartbeat in a storm of noise, soul, and defiance. Combining the insolent attacks of Suicidal Tendencies & Reagan Youth with the crude, rural thud of Ngozi Family, the 'Children are much more than just another punk band. Fueled by wit and DIY spirit, they’re a movement — building skate parks, hosting benefit shows, and igniting stages from Joburg to Kenya to the UK. In 2025 they toured the UK, shared the stage with proto-punk legends DEATH at We're Loud Fest in Kenya, and played loads of packed DIY gigs in South Africa… and they’re just getting started. 2026 ain’t just another year — it’s the Year of Twenty One.

***It’s 2026 and the world is coming to the end it deserves. In a post-world world, the soundtrack should be post-what-fucking-ever, and it needs to careen at light speed with piles upon piles of noise and tension. What remains of Sardinia and Turkey? GENTILESKY is there, and there, and HERE, bonding over a common goal of survival. “Dream” is their second album, and its ferocity was carefully designed to stop you dead in your tracks, but it’s not like you have anywhere left to run anyway. The nightmare continues on Slovenly Recordings this Spring. Stick around for it... We need you more than you realize.

Angel Face

Out In The Street
Slovenly

***LET'S GO! Not only is that a song title, but it’s also an invitation from us at Slovenly to buy a ticket and take a ride with ANGEL FACE and their brand new second album Out In The Street. Tokyo, Japan has bred many a band that takes rock n’ roll into the stratosphere in ways that no other country can touch. And the proof is in these grooves as FINK (TEENGENERATE), HERCULES, TOYOZO (FADEAWAYS) and RAYCO once again show us how it’s done in a way only they can pull off. Halo melting rock n’ roll with attitude and more hooks than a pirate convention, if this album was released 20, 30, FORTY years ago, it would be considered a classic. So why can’t that apply to now? Trust us, it does. If you played this to the uninitiated, I guarantee you they couldn’t guess what year it’s from. It’s so damn authentic and ticks off every box for what a near perfect rock n’ roll album should be. Near perfect songs, near perfect performances, near perfect recording. It’s all here! No need for the tired “(fill in the blank) meets (fill in the blank)” comparisons, this is all Angel Face. 10 would be, SHOULD BE hits, waiting to dissipate your turntable. Our theory of why they are out in the street is that the four enclosed walls where this music was made couldn’t contain it. After listening to this album you might need to get out in the...

***LOS IDIOTAS come stumbling back on the scene after bustin’ brains back in ‘07 with one of Slovenly’s deadliest 45s. Now in 2025 they've suddenly come roaring back with a full length discazo of Spanish (as fuck) garage punk. You can smell the vermouth on lead-howler LISSA's breath as his tattered vocal cords split your skull. ***"The original incarnation of Amsterdam’s THE ANOMALYS was a concept to behold: uniformly towering and chiseled, and as savage on stage as a band could be. They also produced only one full-length in ten years of existence, with a few EP’s to keep the fans drooling in vain in anticipation of that next album. Their current line-up with long time Conductor-in-Chief Bone, featuring Looch Vibrato (Magnetix) and Remi Lucas (Weird Omen) has graced Slovenly with an EP and an album (2019 and 2022 respectively), and have wasted minimal time putting together this Down the Hole LP, and MOTHERFUCKER THIS IS THE ANOMALYS LIKE YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD THEM BEFORE. The rock’n’roll heebie jeebies are in full force this round, with more fuzz, distortion, speed, vitriol, and sheer VOLUME than we ever thought attainable. Sometimes predictable on past efforts (but always a good fuckin’ time, natch), the troopers are completely unhinged and gloriously messy here, while retaining that peculiar formula that makes and keeps them undeniably ANOMALYS."

The title song starting off side two—the only original here—is broke down and short. Afterparty Fever!!! by Okmoniks, The

Afterparty Fever!!!
Slovenly

***San Francisco’s last and only rock and roll band THE OKMONIKS has teamed up with Slovenly Recordings for Afterparty Fever!!! Here are nine new houserockin’ woman led punk rock’n’roll blasts that capture the essence of a party that just don’t stop. This particular all-nighter was recorded live in a small room, and you can tell from the screams, handclaps, and peals of laughter that this 17 minute end result was produced in a gloriously boisterous session. Afterparty Fever!!! captures the girls-to-the-front, make-room-for-dancing, leave-’em-wanting-more live show they’ve been dishing out for freaks world-wide for the past two decades. The OKs are fronted by HELENE 33 on vox, simultaneously playing impossible sounding, finger stretching 60s Ace Tone Top 5 organ tones while tossing it around like a toy… It must be seen to be believed, and a believer you shall be! The Okmoniks recorded and produced every song on this album, and wrote them all with the forgivable exception of one cover by Tucson 60s punk outfit The Grodes. “Afterparty Fever!!!” sounds like a band in 1977 doing their favorite 1966 stompers: devastating dancers like “Don’t Wanna See You No More” and “I’ll Let You In” could fit comfortably in a John Waters teen shimmy montage, giving way to rockers like “He Left the Party with Me” and “Summer Break Up” that could serve as the captions for a comic panel in “Punk” Magazine.

Pre Apocalypse Motorcycle Music EP
Slovenly

***Slovenly Recordings presents Carbondale’s creepiest blood suckers PET MOSQUITO and their “Pre Apocalypse Motorcycle Music” EP, recorded to four track at the “historical” Lost Cross house. Pet Mosquito’s blistering take on Midwestern garage punk draws inspiration from the sounds of a chopped exhaust pipe ripping your eardrums apart whilst you drink a warm beer on the 4th of July. These four songs take the existential anxiety of our pre-apocalyptic world and transmute it into furiously danceable bops that include songs about a femme fatale who sleeps with the Zodiac Killer, secret government projects, and more nonsensical non-nonsense. You’ll be ready to take on any CIA agent, alien, or zombie biker that comes your way. It’s fast, it’s fun, it’s Pre Apocalypse Motorcycle Music!

Moda / Firtina EP by Kaynatan, Gokcen

Kaynatan, Gokcen

Moda / Firtina EP
Slovenly

***Slovenly is proud to present the first ever official reissue of a Turkish holy grail—the 1966 tripped-out surf 45 by Istanbul’s Gökçen Kaynatan. Originals of this record—his first ever release, and from 1966—are so rare that none of our Turkish pals have ever seen a copy, and believe us, they’ve been on the hunt! “Moda / Fırtına” is the platter from his early years as a teenage rock’n’roller, and these two tracks each offer a compelling listen and demand motion. While mostly drenched in the twang of his custom built guitar with relentlessly swinging beats, his budding experimentation with electronics steals the show. Imagine the sought-after Countdown! LP by legendary session man Jimmy Haskell with an Anatolian lean during the peak of modernism and you’re starting to get the point. Gökçen Kaynatan was recently honored by Finders Keepers with an LP reissue of his 70s-era pioneering in electronic realms that reminds of Suicide and Mort Garson, but with the pungent tang of Turkey. This dancefloor ready 7-inch, however, fills a glaring gap for the WILD, and satisfies the raw global itch that is the Slovenly Recordings modus operandi.

***Emerging from the vibrant streets of Malasaña (Madrid), BOSTON BABIES exploded onto the Spanish Underground with their first and highly anticipated self-titled album. Singer and guitarist YOUNG MITCH(20), bassist and backing vocalist NICO (23); and drummer BREIXO (24), united by their spirit and rebellion, deliver a 7 track record that is both a diary of their youth and a manifesto. This album is the fruit of endless afternoons among cans and cigarettes in the iconic Plaza del 2 de Mayo, from a childhood marked by mischievous spontaneity. Self-produced, the album exudes dedication, innocence, and guts that perfectly defines these youngsters. The album navigates through raw punk and glam, and encapsulates the essence of Madrid—a city whose spirit of nonconformity has been the catalyst.

Superioridad Moral by Doctor Explosion

Doctor Explosion

Superioridad Moral
Slovenly

***The time has finally come: after eleven years of waiting, a new DOCTOR EXPLOSION album! The suggestive and incisive title of Moral Superiority is a superlative job. Would one call Superioridad Moral a mature record? That's a complicated term to associate with Doctor Explosion. Still, this album is sure that it shows JORGE and his band playing at a high caliber level. They keep their punk and garage attitude but unfold a thousand more nuances in this album: solid riffs, psychedelic atmospheres, anthological lyrics, and superb arrangements. You can't just label Superioridad Moral as simply "a garage album"; it was written and arranged without that intent. It is an encyclopedia of the best rock music in which huge songs follow one another. A brilliant record about maturity written by pathologically immature folks? Yeah, that sounds about right. Superioridad Moral was recorded and mixed in the legendary Circo Perrotti studios of Gijón and by the usual procedure: analogically, on tape, using all kinds of old-fashioned machines, but sounding real, direct, and, therefore, in your face.

***What we don't have here is "Omelette Punk," or "Country-Rawk," or ANYTHING but stripped-down ROCK'N'ROLL from Missouri's STILL ANIMALS. The 10 tracks on this eponymous debut are short, and to the point. In a perfect world, real kids everywhere are dancing to it on real radios while ditching real lame study hall, and they Look Kool doin’ it. This is the sound of St. Louis: the city's lead and limestone from a dead era, revitalized, and without a lick of gentrification. A couple of the cats here picked up their axes for the first time for this band, and the others cut their teeth touring with some excellent punk and hardcore combos. "Still Animals" fully represents uncharted territory for this crew, and it sounds to Slovenly like they were born to kill in their simplicity and ineptitude. We demand they don't get any "better" (it's in the contract). Album recorded by Andy Peterson (HOME & OFFICE, TRAUMA HARNESS, LUMPY AND THE DUMPERS) in a 130 year old limestone Mound City basement.

***Slovenly Recordings selects GOB PSYCHIC from Aarhus, Denmark’s buzzing underground. Inspired by the endless wave of Melbourne punk rock since Melbourne began punk rocking, as well as oddball sounds from the Midwestern U.S.A, the Gob Psychic spin is just as abrasive, aggressive and compelling as anyone’s music that put them on this warpath. Their debut “Rent Payer” 7inch reeks of alienation, and an apathetic stance on having to put their pants on one leg a time to get to earn some green and worthless workplace accolades, but they’ve managed to jump in to this sonic ferocity with both appendages, claws extended. The songs were recorded in a 2-day-session at Sauna Studios with Neil R. Young filling in the roles of producer and recording engineer, with Jeppe Grønbæk Andersen on mixing duties and added instrumentation.

***Last House is the third album from Sacramento’s Th’ Losin Streaks. The album was recorded at Louder Studios in Grass Valley, California, with Tim Green behind the board. Green played piano on several tracks, and Anton Barbeau—a friend of the band since the beginning—plays organ on some cuts. All of the band members—Tim Foster, Stan Tindall, Mike Farrell and Brian Machado—contributed to the songwriting, and the album also features a cover of The Weeds classic “It’s Your Time.” The album cover and other photos were shot by their pal (and Bay Area punk legend) Al Sobrante. "This album is about true love and good times. And bad decisions. It’s about breaking down. It’s about coming apart. It’s about sleeping rough. It’s about Dyer Lane. It’s about shaking it til you make it. It’s about EKO, Silvertone and Supro, Vox (Super Continental) and the Hohner Marine Band. It’s about 2” tape. It’s about the plague, and politics, and war or hands of time. It’s about the ice cream man after the apocalypse. It’s a trans-world punk rave up. It’s about Link Wray, The Sonics and the Downliners Sect. It’s about The Rolling Stones covering Sam Cooke. It’s about Folk Rock. It was about time slipping away (but it’s not now). Mauvaise Foi by Les Lullies

Les Lullies

Mauvaise Foi
Slovenly

****As smokin’ as they are, previous releases from LES LULLIES were rushed through with impossible deadlines and little time to consider the ends. Mauvaise Foi—their new LP with resolutely French title (and their first record almost fully sung in the tongue)—takes a more laid back approach to manifest the desired energy, finding the boys swimming in a sea of change from their usual methodology. The result is streamlined rock’n’roll with a new purpose: a stark contrast from yesterday’s news while remaining truly Lullies. Mauvaise Foi sounds more personal and fleshy, dabbling in influences from Phil Spector to the Real Kids, classic punk from the Normandy scene (Fixed Up, Dogs, Sub Kids), and brimming with subtle, headphone-worthy layers and details. Mauvaise Foi (“Bad Faith”) as a title sums up this full-length with accuracy. Sometimes tackling somber subjects with tongue planted firmly in cheek, has no qualms breaking free to resonate with hilarity and their trademark cockiness like a brakeless derailing bullet train. Contained herein are stories about real-life characters sung by slightly mendacious rock’n’roll adventurers.

***Only longtime and well-connected west coast punks—and any lucky dirtbags, cowboy hat goths, and broken-down romantics who have passed through the sagebrush hills and smoky casino bars of Reno, Nevada sometime in the last decade—know Spitting Image. Unless you heard them on a few small run cassette tapes or 7" records with cryptic art and far-out distortion, or at a party they ritually summon to any warehouse, parking lot, basement, or Great Basin lake shore they can find, you didn’t. But thanks to Slovenly Recordings, who share a hometown with the band and have sought out the finest and grimiest punk sounds from every corner of the globe, the rest of the world at last receives a report back from these scuzz punk art freaks on their deep trip, deep in the desert: Full Sun. And it’s dark, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad trip. Donovan Williams’ merciless drumbeats drive downstroke rippers like “Devils Bloom” and “Still Thing,” and tracks like “Broadcast” and “Plea Dealer” play up the conversation between Jack Scribner’s beating-heart bass and Julian Jacobs’ alternately schizophrenic and soaring guitar. The 12 poems that make up this record pull together the stranger fringes of the ‘80s wave—Wipers, Gun Club, Sonic Youth, Television, early Siouxsie—with basement hardcore and hints of krautrock, psych, and industrial that show the band’s “fascination with repetition, patterns, transposing things and ideas into new contexts.” These sounds aren’t genre conventions to mash up and reference; they’re tools to express a razor sharp focus on...

***¿Donde estan ARDILLAS? We hope somebody’s seen ‘em recently. Legend goes that these Puerto Rican rodents (formed ten years prior to DAVILLA 666 with whom they share members) like to take their time, hitting the studio to record their first album (2011’s self-titled LP on Cha Cho Records) a decade after their inception, and laying down this second, mucho overdue album somewhere on the far side of inbetween. That bygone session produced this tenderly rocking beauty Canciones de Amor, Locura y Muerte, and it’s been worth the wait! "¿Donde estan?" opens the set with a gang vocal driven mid-tempo twist sweeter than a tray of mantecaditos, and the swivel don’t surrender until the reprisal of “Linda Niña”—a loving but pumping island anthem first released as a Slovenly single long ago in sunnier times. If you’ve ever happened across Ardillas on stage, you know well (and you’ll never forget!) that whatever delicate care they’ve serenaded you with is a decoy vehicle for sweaty and swingin’ rock’n’roll licks from the Chuck Berry-cum-Flamin’ Groovies School o’ Truth. Our muchly esteemed greasers even manage to abort balladry and muster sneers for the mean streets on “Entregate a la Perdición,” and the twangy ‘n gallopin’ “La Ruta.” ¿Donde estan ARDILLAS? How much time has to pass before their next appearance, live or waxed? Chipmunks only come out when they want, but it’s always better late than never.

Skeletons In The Closet by Eddie And The Subtitles

Eddie And The Subtitles

Skeletons In The Closet
Slovenly

***It’s 1980 in Orange County, California, and PUNK ROCK has been scorching the ‘burbs for a few years. EDDIE JOSEPH has been on the Southern California scene the entire time, plotting his poisonous rock’n’roll maneuvers since the mid 1960s when he began playing in garage bands. Eddie had been honing his skills on roots music and swinging teenbeat well in advance of his foray into a new, seedy, violent punk blitzkrieg. There’s a master plan at work here, and it involves select players depending on which direction Eddie needs to bleed out of his system. The recruitment of MIKE PATTON and MATT SIMON of OC legends THE MIDDLE CLASS get EDDIE AND THE SUBTITLES rolling for a slew of shows with comrades Black Flag, Adolescents, Circle Jerks and every other degenerate crew in the radius. A DIY imprint called No Label Records is formed (with literally NO LABELS on the vinyl!) and the first single “Fuck You Eddie!” is unleashed. Recorded in Fullerton by JON ST. JAMES at his legendary Casbah studio (The Vandals, Social Distortion, Berlin), these sessions also yielded a handful of tracks that would appear on the exceedingly rare Skeletons In The Closet LP (No Label Records, 1981). “Zombie Drug Killers,” “No Virgins In Hollywood,” and “American Society” (the short fast loud version covered by L7) appear here as the opening trio on this newly re-sequenced reissue. GEZA X is also on board to produce a handful of tracks with peripheral Subtitles including NICKY BEAT (GERMS, WEIRDOS)...

***As the delicate strings wistfully arpeggiate throughout the blissful introduc… get the fuck outta here, man. This is Slovenly territory, and this is THE ANOMALYS… NOW AND FOREVER! Crushing boldly into this total wreck of a future and not giving a rat’s ass for politeness, “Glitch” marks the first full-length from our Dutch decapitators with the current and deadly lineup of skinsman Rémi Lucas, Looch Vibrato (from MAGNETIX) on guitar number two lending his legendary fuzz and distortion, and our towering disaster of a leader, Bone on guitar and throat. It's no secret that this trio is one of the most ferocious live bands on planet Earth, and “Glitch,” with its remarkable new superphonic recording technique, captures the chaotic rockabilly-cum-garage punk pummel and twang like never before. Picking up right where they left off with 2019’s “Trooper” EP, The Anomalys resurrect and regurgitate that 7inch’s title cut on this new LP, obliterating the OG and rendering it obsolete (nah, you need ‘em both). “One of these days and it won’t be long, you’re gonna dance to a different song!” A sincere threat from Bone right there on “Bleed for Me,” but “different songs” ain’t necessarily what these beasts be about. We come to The Anomalys for one thing and one thing only: Relentless, ass shaking rock’n’roll. 'Cause that's the way we digs it, beer breath and all.

***Slovenly’s mother tongue recordings imprint is psyched beyond belief to present to the freaks and creeps of planet Earth, the 8th LP from Switzerland's THE MONSTERS—Du Hesch Cläss Ig Bi Träsch (“You’re Class I’m Trash”)! Scandinavian Bestial Death Metal? PUH-LEEZE. Japanese Harsh Noise? GIMME A FUCKIN BREAK! This is the true evil that rock’n’rollers do, and you’ll be trembling in your creepers before your asses even get close to bumping to the radical raunch contained on this truly amazing long-player. Even long time rabid fans will be stunned by the sheer magnitude of nastiness and horror here, and if you’re a newcomer, we wish you the best of luck! Yeah, that’s a harpsichord and a choir on the intro. Oops, that’s the outro. We listen to shit backwards and you should too. But so fucking what? Religion rightly scares the piss out of us, and The Monsters make no bones about their just demands of servitude. But you know what the craziest part of this disaster is? It’s not simply that it transcends any trite categories like “GARAGE,” or “PSYCHOBILLY,” or even just (JUST!) “ROCK’n’ROLL,” it’s your perception of maestro BEATMAN's tried and true and fried as fuck vocal throttle that’s damaged even further by him singing in Swiss-German for the first time on any of his vast catalog o’ cool, and it’s for the entirety of this monster swingin’ album! You want the English version? Well take your ass to his legendary Voodoo Rhythm label (Records To Ruin Any...

Future's Almost Over
Slovenly

***It’s been a spell over 20 years since Toronto's Andrew Moszynski sat down and hatched The Deadly Snakes with some pals, enlisting Greg Cartwright (née OBLIVIAN) to oversee the infancy of that slithering unit, producing their first LP on SFTRI and becoming a full-time Snake by the second album on In The Red Recordings, adding his raw musical charm and cruising along as a tour van victim in support of it. It was a legendary collaboration to say the least. The Deadly Snakes, never aping anyone’s sound or style, got rubbed the right way and seasoned to perfection by Mr. O, and had quite the career releasing two more albums to global critical acclaim, because garage rock message board geeks are the ultimate critics of gar(b)age rock music. The band dissolved in 2006, and the geek world has been waiting with bated beer breath for more rock’n’roll action of the caliber dat dem Sneks heaped upon us so long ago.  Fast forward to NOW, baby, and Mr. Moszynski the skins pumm’ler has assembled a crushing new crew o’ Canucks featuring Ryan Rothwell of Pow Wows (Get Hip Recordings) on guitar, bass and vocals, Chris McCann strumming and tweaking the 2nd git, and Jay Lemak fingering the organ and Fender Rhodes with much finesse. And Slovenly gripped their debut recordings, the “Future’s Almost Over” LP by STRANGE COLOURS, and we’ve been rubbing our knuckles and grinding our teeth in crazed anticipation of this glorious album’s release ever since. ***In the grand tradition of nihilistic '70s Spanish punk, Valencia’s FINALE emerge as the new bearers of the extra loco torch with their debut Slovenly Recordings EP. Sonically more akin to American bands The Consumers and The Coneheads, these kinky circus sideshow freaks bash out four frantic tracks of deluxe kaka sung in Spanish with organized recklessness. Stupid Era EP
Slovenly

***The Canadian itch is getting scratched again as Slovenly unleashes the debut EP from Montreal’s first and only Dot Matrix Rock’n’Roll Band FRVITS. Read the V like a U and watch the atomic glow of your VU meters peaking in supersonic ecstasy over these six blazing bangers of thunderous hardcore space punk. This “Stupid Era” platter is a relentless attack, packing six tracks across seven inches, fronted by Shit Vicious on a radioactive vox, and featuring Wind of Change (associate of Priors & Duchess Says), Krispy Karl, Alexander Ortiz, and Blag Dahlia/Jesus (Dwarves) with a vocal appearance on the penultimate track “Abortion Hoops.” This one is tough, fun, and as abstract as a frvit salad served in a urinal.

***Prepare your ears and numb your minds, puny humans. The Kids of the Drill Hole, known officially as Munich’s THE Q-TIPS, are here to scrub your auditory canals, getting rid of the grime and re-contaminating ‘em with their 2nd EP “There Are Those Who Drill Violently.” For their Slovenly debut, sequencer Ms. Juliette and programmer Mr. Brotzeit kick four cuts of crunchy and negative synth-punk screamers hysterically down your hear-holes. The sincerity of tracks llike “Full of Hate” and “Shut Your Face” is as real as you are stupid, and the humor never gets lost in translation.

***Slovenly is extra pumped to present this platter from Tuscan punk rock paesanos THE DIRTIEST. Label founder Peter Menchetti is Italian (from New York, which has so much Italian blood it may as well be the 21st region of Italy!) and while it's not the first album we release from the old country, the Dirtiest are the first to do it in Italiano, and you know the saying—they do it better. Lyrically, the Dirtiest bounce from brilliance to bonehead and then back, showing deep disgust for the status quo in Italy, and deep love for punk rock & all their pals in the scene. Musically, they are clearly picking up where the Ramones left the Spits & the Pizzas off, but not without adding some strong Italian flavor. After hearing this for the first time, Personal was torn between heading for Italy with his baseball bat, and sending the band a cease & desist—but then we reminded him that Iggy & Joey never busted any Pizzas' balls... If you've ever wondered what makes Italian punk rock different from punk rock from Italy, this LP will show you—side A is all in Italian, and side B is all in English. The B-side tracks are only being released on the backside of this platter, so statte zitt' e mangia!—while it's hot.

***Thessaloniki Greece’s most psychotic pseudo-pscientists NOMOS 751 emerge from their psecret laboratory located kilometers under Earth’s crust with a new 7-inch EP, lyrically dedicated to political and societal injustices, woes and struggles, but with a snappy beat you can sink your dinks into. Title track “M.A.T.” dominates the top deck with a mild warning to Greek riot pigs: “I don't have a name, I don't have a number, I kill you and send you naked back to your mother,” (but sung in Greek, as Mondo Mongo dictates the tongue of the mother). The lunatic vox of Sanja Djordjevic has been enlisted this go-round for a cover of “Moraću Se Boriti,” originally by Serbian new-wavers BOYE. Already a brilliant slice of aggro and off-kilter post-punk in its primitive form, now updated with extra venom for demanding punks of exceptional taste.
