***Anxious, dissonant, and danceable, FOSTER BODY's first LP Moving Display will be out March 2016 on Diabolical Records. The four-piece SLC post-punk combo have been making a name for themselves with their intensely visceral live shows, amplified by songwriting that disorganizes the traditional. The outcome is only nearly familiar. Clean, angular guitar is forced into driving, wet bass lines. Vocals are urgent-yet-playful and as rhythmic as the accompanying dance beats. An outlet for themes of identity and self, Moving Display fuels feelings of anxiousness and its relatable severity through more than literal lyrics, but as a nervous sentiment exposed through all instruments and voices in the album. Moving Display is art-punk for 2016.
