***Unearthed 1977 and 1980 recordings from THE SHADES front man DENNIS DALCIN! After The Shades, Dalcin went on to form the mod influenced THE LEARS and ran the Kaleidoscope 'zine and label in the '80s. The A-side "Hypnotic Beat," is a trippy psychedelic surf monster recorded in 1980 by The Shades at Paragon Studios in Tampa, FL. The flipside has two snotty garage punkers by a "recording entity only" in 1977 at Recnac Studios in Tampa. All three are Dalcin originals.
