Ardent fans will have little trouble understanding the move away from handsomely carved drones or speckled and serrated noise; Transitions is simply a different form ‬of Yeh’s unmediated expression, of a spirit with Slapp Happy, but which wouldn’t sound out of place on a Magnetic Fields record.
