***The DVD of DEVON REED’s independent film The Bigtop. Vincent O’Malley endures a home life on the prairie under the oppressive eyes of his father, but the arrival of a circus prompts his departure. After assuming the role of a clown, he soon learns that his new family is in desperate need of an audience and the muscle and daring to acquire it. Camaraderie is soon in the air as Vincent and his newfound friends lead daring missions to gather circus spectators, but the arrival of an attractive young woman sets him perilously on edge. As jealousy leads Vincent to the precipice of loneliness and annihilation, he must come to a reckoning with his true nature and with his place in the world.
